Favourite Turin Brakes song?: State Of Things

What is your favourite website?: http://www.turinbrakes.nl

Have you seen Turin Brakes live?: Yes, I saw them finally for the first time in December 2005 in Amsterdam. Then, in 2007, I saw them in a tiny pub in London on a hot summer evening in August. Later that year they came to Groningen and Amsterdam - and I was there.
Oh and I saw them twice in February (Cadogan Hall London)! In August '08 I flew to London to see the guys play in Folkestone!

What do you like about Turin Brakes?: I like the fact that the music is honest and direct, yet subtile and lyrically rich.

What other music/bands do you like?: Quite a lot... In no particular order:
Ray LaMontagne, Richard Swift, Jens Lekman, Kings of Convenience, I Am Kloot, Elbow, The Whitest Boy Alive, Athlete, Fionn Regan, Genesis, Phil Collins etc. etc.

What are your favourite films and tv shows?: Garden State, The Usual Suspects, Once... TV: Spooks, Jekyll, Entourage.

Recommend us a book, please!: My favourite Dutch author is Willem Frederik Hermans. Some of his books are translated in English. Look out for "The Dark Room of Damocles" and my personal favourite "Beyond Sleep"! They will change your life.

What do you want to do with your life?: Be happy by having music play an important role in my life. I'll probably become a journalist or a teacher, or something else.

A week in the air

I'm already quite enjoying this place. Ofcourse, we haven't got thousands of members yet, but the members who have been here so far have been trying their best to get the place going, which is very nice. Keep it going and invite your friends!
